CELTIC ROSS Hotel, West Cork’s premier wedding venue, held its first Wedding Showcase Night last Thursday 27^th August. Bride and grooms from throughout Cork attended the event for which the proceeds on the night were donated to Cope Foundation.

Guests were welcomed on the traditional red carpet into the hotel and greeted with a bucks fizz reception and harpist. There was opportunity for the guests to view the new Warren Suite overlooking Rosscarbery Bay set for a civil ceremony. Civil ceremonies now account for 23% of weddings in Ireland.

“Everyone attending experienced first hand what the Celtic Ross Hotel can offer brides and grooms on their own very special wedding day” said Christopher Byrnes General Manager.

The guests enjoyed a sample wedding meal prepared by Head Chef Linda O’Sullivan with produce from local suppliers to the hotel. Brides of Eire hosted a spectacular fashion show during the meal with fabulous dress for any bride. All brides on the night received a goodie bag with exclusive offers to assist towards their wedding planning from local businesses in the region.

“Even the grooms enjoyed the night compared to the traditional wedding fairs as the information was brought to the couples” said the General Manager of the 66 bedroom hotel.   

During the night there was the distribution of Gold Envelopes with excellent prizes on offer for the lucky brides and grooms. A presentation was made to Sheila Jennings from Cope Foundation at the end of the night who said “thank you very much for a fantastic evening and your support for Cope Foundation in West Cork”. €750 was raised for Cope Foundation on the night.

 The hotel recently launched the new Warren Suite which boasts panoramic views over Rosscarbery Bay from its lofty location at the top of the hotel’s distinctive Round Tower, perfect for an intimate civil ceremony and private family dining experience.
