Brendan Grace comes to the Celtic Ross Hotel!
Thursday 5th August
Brendan Grace

'ITS A FUNNY OLD WORLD'

It's a funny old world when seen through the eyes of Brendan Grace.

The sanctimonious priest who knows more than he's telling:

''Blessed is he who gets married in the nick of time''.

The father of the bride makes a speech at his daughters wedding:

''She could have married someone with money;she could have married

someone who was working. She could have married someone who wasn't working..

but was willing to work.''

Then there's the schoolboy with the unspeakable personal habits and a fine line

in sympathy pleas.

Brendan Grace is all of these and more. Each cock- eyed portrait he paints has a

ring of truth that brings audiences to the point of apoplexy.

Brendan's material owes more to the best of the traditional stand-up-comics

than it does to modern alternative humour and his show is very much a show

for all the family.
There is a sincerity about his act that endears you to him, and

his off-stage persona is very much a 'man of the people' as he makes himself

available after each show for a photo and a 'meet and greet'.

You can catch Brendan with new 'Brand New Show'.

This is a family show.

Present

Faulty Towers...

the dining experience

After a sell out six week tour of Ireland in 2009 Faulty Towers…the dining experience is back

Basil, Sybil and Manuel return to serve you dinner and a feast of comic delights, some familiar some off the cuff but all with a “Faulty” seasoning and a guarantee to keep you laughing all the way to the desert. Basil is manic, Sybil domineering, and Manuel – of course – is hopelessly language-challenged. Everything that can wrong, does in some beautifully controlled chaos. Just don’t mention the war!

Faulty Towers…the dining experience has been winning fans and accolades at Edinburgh, Melbourne and Adelaide Festivals for the last three years. Featuring all the best gags and a great meal, Faulty Towers….the dining experience is a loosely-scripted, pitch-perfect '13th episode' of the TV series which develops the characters made famous by John Cleese, Prunella Scales and Andrew Sachs.

Some praise from the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe:

- “This belly achingly funny show is 100% worth every penny” (aussietheatre.com)

- ‘ ***** a once in a lifetime dining experience!’ (British Theatre Guide)

- ‘ ***** spot on… brilliantly played… utterly delicious entertainment’ (Edinburgh Evening News)

- “ ***** the best show at the Festival… I loved Fawlty Towers, the television series, but in many ways this live production is even better… ingenious… by far the best comedy show I have ever been to” (Sunday Express)

- “the characterisation is superb”(actress Katy Manning, who saw the show twice! - fans of Dr Who might remember her as Jo, from Jon Pertwee's days)

Appearing in Druids Restaurant September 17th - 19th
Show Only - which includes your "Faulty Towers" dinner - €45 per person
Overnight B&B, Show (including "Faulty Towers" dinner) €110pps
Two nights B&B, and Show (including "Faulty Towers" dinner) €170pps
